FIRSTBORN UNICORN NEEDS YOU ON BASS!!!

Firstborn Unicorn - sounds like some magic trick, but nah... FU aint no magic trick! It's a powerful punch of Alternative Rock & Rap that will knock your socks off.

Since our founding in 2016, we’ve played over 170 shows in Germany and beyond – from small clubs to festivals like Trebur Open Air, blues & Jazz Festival, Bamberg, Rock auf der Burg, Königstein or Museumsuferfest, Frankfurt. We’ve also supported international bands like Feeder and False Heads on their tour legs through Germany.

We love going full throttle on stage, sweating, becoming one with the crowd, and just having a great time. Our influences range from RHCP and Rage Against the Machine to MF Doom or Eminem – anything goes, as long as it kicks.

 

The band currently consists of:
Eric (33) – Vocals & Guitar
Finn (21) – Drums

Since early 2024 we’ve been releasing singles folowed by our very first studio album in May 2025 – a huge milestone for us. After an intense 2025 festival season our longtime bassist Alu left the band to focus on his studies and personal life – a decision we fully respect. 

 

Right now we’re taking the winter off to focus on finding a new bassist who’s excited to continue this journey with us.​

 

Who we’re looking for 

✅ You play bass with passion and are between 20–35 years old
✅ You’re reliable and punctual
✅ You love funk/metal crossover like RHCP, RATM, Limp Bizkit
✅ You already have live experience
✅ You've got a tight sound and your own functioning gear
✅ You can imagine contributing background vocals as well

How we do things

We rehearse as needed – meaning when tours, festivals, writing sessions, or recordings are coming up. Rehearsals can take place in Frankfurt, Mannheim, or North Hesse (Schwalmstadt).

As of now these are our goals for 2026:

And most importantly: a respectful, open vibe with zero bullshit – no room for racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other kind of exclusion.
